BIOGRAPHY

Eva Otaño Ugartemendia born in Donostia-San Sebastian,
Basque Country, Spain, 1964.

She studied Video at Escuela de la Imagen, Barcelona,1984.

Moved to Bilbao and studied Journalism at the University of Basque Country, 1985.

Moved to London one year, 1988.

Moved to East Berlin and worked in Art House Tacheles, 1990.

Moved to Los Angeles one year and studied Photography in Los Angeles City College, 1992.

Back to East Berlin participated and worked in different proyects at art gallerys ,documentary films and started working in photography, 1993.

Moved again to Los Angeles and studied Computer Graphics at UCLA extensión( University of California) and worked at the same time in a internet life show us art director and carried out proyects for the web, 1999.

First photo exibition in Galery X, Downtown Los Angeles where the pictures were stolen, 2001.

Back to Berlin worked in different proyects: like photo animations and visuals at life performances, 2003.

Lives in Berlin and works in the photo book Waiting for Lunch.
